Ada Jesus: Some Nigerians Blames Prophet Odumeje and Rita Edochie For Her Death

Following the death of comedienne Mercy Cynthia Ginikanwa popularly known as Ada Jesus on Wednesday 21 April 2021, social media users have taken to their various platforms to call for the arrest of Anambra based prophet, Chukwuemeka Odumeje and veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie, saying they had a hand in her death.

Ada Jesus had earlier accused Odumeje of staging miracles and mentioned Rita as an accomplice. 

This made the duo very bitter at her and vowed never to forgive her stating that her ailment would never get better as Ada had been diagnosed of kidney disease and was confined to a wheelchair.

Ada who later retracted her statements against the duo pleaded with them for forgiveness  but was turned down by them as they vowed never to forgive her until she provides evidence that the miracles performed by the prophet were fake.

When her health declined, her family took her to Odumejeje’s church to beg for forgiveness.

After much pressure and pleas from fans, Rita and Odumeje took to their respective social media handles to announce that they had forgiven her with Odumeje even offering the sum of one million naira to support her treatment. 

Human Rights activist Gwamnishu Emefiena Harrison, who has been taking care of the comedienne since her sickness became severe, equally confirmed her death while speaking with BBC 

However, Edochie on Thursday morning on her Instagram page said God has made her a strong woman and that she would remain.Her post reads,

“Jesus is LORD forever. Lord Almighty made me a strong woman and that I will remain.

“The seed cannot be killed.”

Most users speculate that both Rita and Odumeje had a hand in Ada’s condition as well as death and equally called for their arrest.

Recall also that three days ago, Ada was surrounded by well-wishers as she celebrated her birthday at the hospital.
