BREAKING: PDP Suspends Former Governor of Niger State Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

Former governor of Niger state, Dr Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, has been suspended by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, over alleged anti-party activities which includes working for the All Progressive Congress, APC the ruling party in the state.

According to reports, Aliyu was suspended during an emergency stakeholders’ meeting of Chachanga local Area in Minna, the state capital on Monday, March 29 stating that he does not attend meetings and is working to disintegrate the party.

The meeting was attended by eight ward chairmen of the party out of the 11 wards, elders and party faithful from Chanchaga LGA.

According to the report, one of the media aides of the ex-governor, Bala Bitrus said the suspension is laughable as the state PDP does not have an executive in place to approve such suspension, stressing that the meeting held was illegal and illogical as Dr Aliyu would address the issue when he receives the communication about his suspension.
