#BuhariMustGo: Protesters Hold Demonstration in Abuja, Sets Fire on Highway
A group of Nigerians who described themselves as #RevolutionNow protesters have held a demonstration along the highway leading to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, in the early hours of the morning of today, June 21.
Activist Omoyele Sowore, who is one of the conveners of RevolutionNow, shared photos and videos of the protesters on his Facebook page today as they were filmed chanting “Buhari must go” while setting fire on the highway, obstructing the free flow of traffic.
Sowore wrote: “#BuhariMustGo protest[ers] on the highway to the airport in Abuja this morning! No Rest for the wicked! #RevolutionNow.”
