He said the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited and all other stakeholders in the downstream oil value chain came together on Tuesday in an effort to end the crisis.
“Yesterday there was a meeting in Abuja and the president of IPMAN was there and he gave me his remarks about the meeting. So I can say that the NNPC is ready to find a solution to the crisis. They have now agreed to open more warehouses for IPMAN to load products through their platform at an official price and this is what we have been asking for for years.
“From what I understand now, they have 14 days to clean up the mess. Within two weeks we will be able to buy at a very reasonable price. We all have to work for the good of the Nigerians. and for Nigerians to benefit from this subsidy,” he said. On the issue of smuggling, which the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Oil Regulatory Authority has previously claimed is the main cause of the fuel crisis, Osatuyi said everyone must be present to end it.
He said the Nigerian Federation of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers must order its members not to ship tankers to neighboring countries.
