Igbo Apprenticeship System is Oppressive?

A social media user cum human right activist @TheoAbuAgada have taken to his Twitter page to criticise the famous Igbo apprenticeship system, tagging it as oppressive.

He added that some masters accuse their boys of various evil acts when it’s time to settle them.

The Igbo apprenticeship system has been lauded by many as one of the things that should be studied even in schools and encouraged as it gives the apprentice a chance to learn the nitty-gritty of any business he chooses to go into.
