Mr Macaroni Speaks On His Ordeal With The Nigerian Police While in Detention

Popular Nigerian comedian and brand influencer, Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni or Daddy Wa, has taken to his Twitter handle to recount his experience in the hands of the Nigerian police during his detention on the 13th of February, 2021 for violating COVID-19 guidelines by trying to organize a protest against the reopening of the Lekki Tollgate.

Debo who was a principal figure during the #EndSARS protests and who has used his platform and comedy skit to speak against various forms of police brutality and bad governance in the country, wrote;

“When I was at Adeniji police station, the police officers took turns to beat me up. They were even calling themselves to come and beat ‘Mr Macaroni’ 

They said in my life when next I hear police, I will run! One said if not that people would ask about me, he would have killed me”.
