“Na Marry I Say I Wan Marry, Wetin Be This Na?” Man Laments About List Given to Him By In-laws

A Graphic designer and Twitter user identified as Leo @ekibyleo, has taken to Twitter to express his shock on the ‘list’ given to him by his prospective in-laws as part of requirements before he can get married to their daughter.

The list which is made up of two sections, a section for the father-in-law and a section for the mother-in-law, includes several items such as cartons of drinks, goat, cigarette for father-in-law, a bride price of three hundred thousand naira has a sum total of #1,187,600.

Sharing the list to his followers, he wrote

“Na marry I say I wan marry, wetin be this na?,”

Some Twitter users have also shared their own opinions, with some calling it outrageous, others saying they were charged more and others maintaining that there was nothing really wrong with it considering the fact that they might have spent so much in training their daughter.
