Naira Marley Reacts to Arrest of Zinoleesky and Mohbad by NDLEA
Popular singer, Naira Marley have reacted to the arrest and detention of his artists, Zinoleesky and Mohbad by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), stating that it was disgusting and unfair.
Recall that the artists and four others were reportedly arrested by the anti-graft agency in the early hours of Thursday, February 24, during a raid on their apartment in the commercial hub of Lagos, an official said.
NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi said some quantities of cannabis and “Molly” — a term used for MDMA — were found with rappers Zinoleesky and Mohbad and four others in their residence and car, adding that the suspects would be charged to court after investigation.
Naira Marley who himself also had a run-in with the law over suspected internet fraud while taking to Twitter to express his outrage, tweeted:
“NDLEA have released Mohbad after physically assaulting him, Zinoleesky is still in custody. The boys are under a lot of stress after being ambushed in the middle of the night with no warrant. I’m urgently returning to lagos now now now
“What is happening to my brothers is disgusting. The injustice is unfair and this is beginning to look like a pattern. First me now my artists. Free Zinoleesky, free shubomi, free micee and dosky”
The two rappers were signed last year to his music label.
