New Music Alert!!: Angelique Kidjo ft Yemi Alade – “Dignity”

Grammy award-winning singer Angelique Kidjo has featured award winning Nigerian singer and songwriter, Yemi Alade in a new song titled “Dignity”.

It is Angelique Kidjo’s first release in 2021.This is a song that speaks on police brutality as well as a solidarity to the #ENDSARS movement. Speaking about the song, she said;

“Many people think that police brutality only happens in America, but it’s everywhere. This song is against brutality, but it’s also about how we need to treat each other with dignity, treat nature with dignity, and treat ourselves with dignity. Because if we can’t see the dignity that Mother Nature gave to all of us, then how can we walk tall?”  .

This is the second time both acts have worked together since their first collaboration on “Shekere“. This one is a hit!!
