Nigerian man arrested by NSCDC for stealing motorcycle in Osun

A Nigerian man Ojo Mathew has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Ede, Osun State.

Ocheja Emmanuel, the NSCDC Commandant in the state, disclosed to newsmen on Monday that the man was arrested at Ede, Osun State.

Ocheja who spoke through NSCDC Media Officer in the State, Atanda Olabisi said the man who hails from Ede South Local Government of the State was caught in the act of stealing the motorcycle.

He noted that the suspect was arrested with the help of the residents who alerted the Corps.

Speaking, the suspect who claimed he did not want to steal the motorcycle, revealed that he only wanted to siphon fuel from the motorcycle into his own.

Ocheja, however, authorized further investigation and vowed that the Corps is committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens in the state.
