Nigerian Twitter Shows Support For Samuel Chukwueze Ahead of Europa League Cup Final 

A lot of Nigerians on Twitter have taken to the platform to show their support for Super Eagles’ and Villarreal CF midfielder, Samuel Chukwueze over Manchester United’s Shola Shoretire as Villarreal is set to compete against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final on 26 May at the Stadion Miejski in Gdańsk, Poland.

Some argued that Shola hasn’t played for Nigeria while Samuel is a first team player in the Super Eagles team.

This is coming after Leicester City defeated Chelsea Football Club on Saturday, May 15, to lift the FA Cup with Super Eagles Kelechi Iheanacho and Ndidi Wilfred proudly showcased the Nigerian flag at the stadium to celebrate the victory.

 Also, Super Falcons’ Asisat Oshoala, became the first Nigerian and African female player to win the UEFA Women Champion’s League, following a 4-0 defeat by Barcelona Football Club against Chelsea Football club on Sunday, May 16.

In the wake of this, Nigerians are rooting for their own to lift the trophy irrespective of the international clubs they play for while some die hard Manchester United fans state that they are yet to decide who to support in the forthcoming match.
