Outrage as Student of OAU Dies After Falling Into a Septic Tank at Her Hostel

A student of Linguistics and African Languages in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife identified as Heritage Ajibola, has died after she fell inside a septic tank at her hostel in school.

According to posts online by some who knew her, she lived at Bver Maintenance private hostel, located close to School Gate Ile-Ife. It was also alleged that she spent more than thirty minutes in the septic tank before she was rescued and carried away in an ambulance but eventually gave up the ghost.

Her death has sparked outrage as many called for the hostel authorities to be severely punished for negligence and lack of maintenance which has cost a student’s life.
