Police Zonal Headquarters in Anambra Razed by Suspected Hoodlums

Suspected hoodlums have, on Monday morning, razed Zone 13 Police Command in Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra state.

It is reported that no fewer than four vehicles have been burnt while firefighters are already on the scene to put out the inferno. The circumstances behind the attack is not yet clear, but a video made by a police officer on duty at the zonal headquarters showed the administrative building of the headquarters going up in flames as a result of the attack.

The development has heightened tension across the state amidst the continual clash between rival cult groups which has led to loss of lives of some people in the state.

Similarly, residents are beginning to question their safety in the state as two persons were allegedly killed in Awka, the state capital on Sunday 18th April.

The incident occurred at Ifite, Awka South local government area where a fitness instructor, Mr Anthony Onwudinjo was shot dead in front of his mum as reported by his brother Mr Martins Onwudinjo via his Facebook handle while the other person was killed at Unizik junction.
