Sars Disbandment Created a Vacuum in Policing says IGP

In a media briefing in Abuja on the 27th of May 2021, Usman Baba Alkali, the acting inspector-general of police, said that the disbandment of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) created a vacuum in policing the country.

Speaking to newsmen, he stated that “the morale of police officers in the country has been low since the #EndSARS protests in October 2020.”

Recall that Abubakar Adamu the former Inspector-General of Police, disbanded the unit following the End-Sars protest by young Nigerians.
