South-South Youths Shut NDDC Office, Shut Down East-West Road  

Youths of south-south extraction, precisely from the Ijaw part of Bayelsa went overboard with the alleged refusal of the federal government to inaugurate a substantive board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

 On the platform of the Ijaw Youths Council (IYC) on Wednesday, May 26, the protesters shut down the state’s office of the commission during a massive protest, The Nation reports. 

Not only that, the youths waved the flags of IYC, and stood against traffic along the east-west road, causing serious fears among motorists, pedestrians, and commuters.
