“STUPID is a Slang for Dope” Magixx Clears Air on Why He Used the Word to Describe Wizkid and Chris Brown’s Single

Mavins Record signee and ‘Love Don’t Cost a Dime’ crooner Magixx has clarified his viral tweet where he termed the new song Wizkid sang with Chris Brown as “stupid”.

In a now-deleted tweet on Sunday, June 19, the singer had written, “This new Chris Brown and Wiz is stupid.”

This did not go down well with fans as many called him out for making such statement since the two artistes in the newly released song are big names in the music industry on international level.

Reacting to the backlash he received, Magixx cleared the air on his comment, adding that he was greatly misunderstood and the word “stupid” in that context meant “dope”.

He wrote; ” I think my only mistake yesterday was deleting that tweet. Why? I felt it was being misunderstood.“Then this morning woke up to so many hate comments on my IG post, which goes to show how desperate these blogs are for comments and likes.

“I’m a music lover and if you check my history of tweets, I only tweet about music that I love. STUPID is a slang for Dope.

“I didn’t know I was going to get people hating for hyping a song, the irony. We really need to be better people. I’m so sick from all of these. I’ll be attaching the dictionary meaning to this tweet once again for clarity.”

Chief Executive Officer of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, had on September 2021 unveiled Magixx as a signee on his record label.

Taking a look at Magixx tweets in the past, the singer had once used the word “STUPID” to describe his own song.
