The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) has revealed that around eight hundred thousand Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) have yet to be collected in Oyo State.
INEC revealed on Wednesday.
Resident Elections Commissioner (REC), in the state, Dr. Adeniran Tella, while speaking at a stakeholder meeting about fake voter verification/verification, said PVCs are always in the documents. Their different rooms to be collected.
At the meeting held at the INEC office in Ibadan were the heads of various state security agencies.
Tella during a statement said the commission has distributed more than 402,321 PVCs in the state. He then lamented that there were still more than 800,000 PVCs to be collected.
However, Tella, who added, urged everyone in the state to get their PVC before it expires.
He added that the exercise was crucial to the committee’s preparations for the state’s upcoming general election, urging voters registered at the relevant polling stations to bring their ID cards. charge until the scheduled date with the permanent voter (PVC) to participate in the exercise.
