UNICROSS Student Initially Declared Missing After Going MIA For Three Weeks, Reunites With Family

The 300-level Mass Communication student of the Cross River State University Priscilla Ojong, whose photo has been going viral on social media and initially declared missing by friends, has been reunited with family.

Some days ago, Priscilla was declared missing after she reportedly traveled to Lagos on invitation of a male friend who credited her account with the transport fare, but was unreachable for three weeks. On arrival at Lagos, a friend of hers who pleaded anonymity, confirmed that Priscilla called her to let her know that she arrived Lagos safely and would be spending only the weekend so as to be back in school for the new week.

When she didn’t make it back as said, they became worried  and tried reaching out to her but her mobile number was switched off. This made them become uneasy and took the matter to the police station where they declared her missing

Also, in an interview with Cross River Watch Tv, her father, Mr. Ernest Ojong, said his daughter was missing and had not made any contact with any family member for over three weeks, noting that the last time he communicated with his daughter was in April via text and that he has not heard from her since then.

After much awareness was created online to help find her, Priscilla last Friday shared video on her IG page dismissing claims that she was missing but her friends were not having any of that as they insisted that the video she shared was done under duress, urging her to return to her family for further clarifications.

A close family friend while giving an update about Priscilla’s whereabouts via her Instagram account said she had reunited with her mum, adding that Priscilla also apologized for keeping everyone worried about her whereabouts.
