Wizkid Wins Again at the NAACP Awards

Nigerian music star, Ayodeji Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid has bagged another award at the 52nd National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, NAACP Image Awards,for Beyonce‘s ‘Brown Skin Girl’ from Lion King: The Gift album, which was announced ‘Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album’ of the year.

The NAACP Image Award is an award to honour outstanding performances in film, television, music, and literature. 

For the second time, Wizkid and Beyoncé have received the NAACP Image Award for their collaboration in “Brown Skin Girl” as they won the ‘Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration’ category in 2020, with Wizkid sharing the stage with Beyoncé on the same song which also features Saint JHN and Blue Ivy Carter.

Recall that at the Grammy’s Awards on March 14, 2021, the duo also won the Best Music Video category for ‘Brown Skin Girl’.
